Along with identifying present strengths and weakness across seven domains, MITRA Samaj also facilitated the participants (board members and staffs) to develop the Institutional Improvement Plans (IIP) of their respective organisations.
In total, MITRA Samaj conducted the OCA of 10 CSOs. In the first year (2017), MITRA Samaj conducted the OCA of eight CSOs from the end of March 2017 till the near end of May 2017. In the second and third year (2018 and 2019), MITRA Samaj conducted the OCA of five CSOs, and in the final year, MITRA Samaj conducted the OCA of seven CSOs. The first year of OCA was primarily conducted to facilitate the CSOs in identifying their institutional strengths and areas of weakness through auto-diagnosis process and establish a baseline which could be further evaluated in the following years. In the second and third year, the OCA was conducted to evaluate the progress secured by the CSOs with a year following the application of the first and second year. Finally in the year 2020, the fourth and final round of OCA was conducted to evaluate the CSOs’ improvement in institutional strength across seven domains and its 39 sub-domains by comparing it against the baseline indicators established in 2017.
The assessments were conducted by Capacity Development Specialists Govinda Bahadur Basnet and Ganesh Kumar Lama.
